Donate a Bike at REI

Jack the Bike Man is partnering with REI Boca Raton and REI Palm Beach Gardens for community bike drives to collect gently used bicycles, bike parts, and accessories for children, families, and adults in need.

Bring your unused bike to one of the REI bike drive dates below. Donated bikes will be refurbished whenever possible and given back to the community through Jack the Bike Man’s Wheels of Hope programs.

REI Boca Raton

Dates: Saturday, May 9 & Saturday, May 23, 2026
Bike Drop-Off: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
JTBM Table: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM both days

A Jack the Bike Man team member will be on-site with an information table from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM both days to answer questions, share more about our programs, and thank donors in person. Bike donations may still be dropped off at REI from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

A Jack the Bike Man team member will be on-site with an information table from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM to answer questions, share more about our programs, and thank donors in person.

REI Palm Beach Gardens will also be offering free safety checks, chain lube, and tire inflation for customers who bring in their personal bikes. Each donation will also receive a raffle ticket for small gear giveaways and a store coupon that can be used in store.

• Used bikes
• Bike parts
• Locks
• Lightly used helmets
• Lights
• Bells
• Bike tools
• Bike lubricants

What to Donate

Bikes of all sizes are welcome, including:

• Kids’ bikes
• Adult bikes
• Mountain, road, hybrid, and cruiser bikes
• Bikes in need of minor repair

*Please avoid donating bikes with severe rust, heavy frame damage, or bikes that are beyond reasonable repair.

Why It Matters

A donated bike can become transportation to work, a source of independence for a child, or a practical way for someone without reliable transportation to stay connected to school, services, and opportunity.

Every donation also helps reduce waste by keeping bikes and usable parts out of landfills whenever possible.
