Mission

To strengthen our community through bicycle donations, education and safety programs.

Vision

To ensure underserved people of all ages and abilities have access to reliable bicycles, safety education, and supportive programs that open pathways to work, wellness, and community connection.

For over 20 years, Jack the Bike Man, Inc. has been restoring bicycles and donating them to children and adults in need throughout the West Palm Beach area. While the organization has operated as a nonprofit for 18 years, its founder, Samuel H. “Jack” Hairston III, began this mission of restoring and donating bikes long before achieving nonprofit status. Jack’s legacy continues to inspire the organization’s work following his passing in 2023.

Our Impact Report for 2025:

Jack the Bike Man, Inc. has given away thousands of bikes to:

  • Underprivileged kids

  • People living below the poverty line

  • The homeless

  • Women and men re-entering society from prison

  • Recovering addicts in half-way houses

  • Smiling Todler on bike
  • Christmas Giveaway

All of this has been possible with the help of numerous volunteers and contributions.
