Thank you for your interest in volunteering for our first ever Jack the Bike Man Ride on Sunday, November 4th 2018! We need volunteers for the following:
SAG Vehicles: We need a total of 2 SAG vehicles, preferably someone that has a pick up truck or a van. Along with another person in the vehicle. These volunteers will be in charge of supporting the riders with any emergency during the ride. They act as a support for all the riders, they will have supplies on hand as well as be able to lend a hand in fixing your bicycle if needed during the ride or bring you back to the bike shop if you are unable to.
Bike Shop: We will need volunteers at our bike shop to help us set up and gather supplies the week leading up to the event, the day before and the day of the event. This includes, helping us set up tables, tents, register people the day of the event, distribute shirts, hand out food, water, go pick up coffee from our sponsors, direct people to the right spots, and any other last minute thing we might need.
Rest Stops: We will need volunteers at our rest stops (there will be at least 4 rest stops) along the ride. These will be in parks where there will be restroom facilities. We also need at least 4 pop up tents to be used at the SAG stops for shade purposes. These volunteers will be in charge of handing out waters, fruit, energy bars, and most importantly encourage the riders 🙂
Guide the riders: We will need a group to be located at all of the turns along the way to guide the riders and give them some great support and encouragement.
Clean up crew: At the end of the ride, we must go out and pick up all of the signage and SAG area debris so as to keep friends with our neighbors 🙂
All volunteers for Sunday November 4th must be at the shop by 6 am.
