This FREE program provides youth from the ages of 12 to 15 with the opportunity to gain life skills and develop self-confidence through a hands on bicycle education program. The Gotta Get a Bike Program will incorporate informal mentoring, physical education, community service, centered around instruction on bicycle repair.
This program will be run 4 times per week (Monday through Thursday) for a total of 10 sessions, each session is 2 hours long, from 2pm to 4pm. Upon completion of the Program, students will receive a certificate of completion, bicycle, safety helmet, front/rear lights, bike lock, and a start-up tool kit for their own repairs.
We are currently accepting applications and our first group will start on June 18th. The second group starts on July 9th. Space is limited, we only accept 4 kids per group.
