There is a mountain in south florida and on Sunday riders took to it on their bikes.
The event was held to raise money for Jack Hairston, known as "Jack the Bike Man", who rebuilds bicycles for needy children.
The so-called mountain is actually part of the old city dump. Now it's a workout for riders at Dyer Park where today cyclists rode for six hours straight to see how many times they could go up and down the former landfill.
Jack Hairston spoke to NewsChannel 5 about the event. "This helps us recognize the need to recycle and my bicycle program is a recycling program. People are giving me bikes that might have ended up in the garbage."
The entire trail is four miles long and one rider rode it 28-times on Sunday.
All in all, the event helped raise close to three-thousand dollars for Hairston.
