Achievements of Mayan Family Services & Jack the Bike Man

• Hosted the Consulado of Guatemala for 2 days over 500 people attended in order to obtain consular id cards and valid passports
• Raised enough money to send 3 crash victims home to Guatemala for burial
• Presented 379 children bicycles for Christmas 2004   over 600 bikes were given out during the year 2004
• Direct referrals for legal help with immigration issues
• Escorted several men to the immigration courts in Miami
• Provided transportation to several people to the consulate in Miami
• Translation of school related correspondences
• Aided over 160 people to get to shelters during the hurricanes.
• Aided in relocation of tenants with undesirable substandard housing to find proper places to rent
• Accompanied several people to the court house for traffic violations
• Raised money for uniforms for the soccer team
• Aided in the training process for goodwill industries
• Provided 100 large old bicycles to be shipped to Haiti for a church where everyone is very poor
• Provided 40 bikes to Nicaragua for repairs and distribution
• Provided 52 bicycles to the Guatemala project to be repaired and distributed in Guatemala
• Transported many people to doctors and hospitals for medical needs
• Donated 21 small girls bikes to Caridad clinic to be distributed for no money to specific needy people
• Aided in hurricane cleanup for elderly people in the neighborhood
